Status, Safari  Sunset, Lemon Leaf, Sea Holly

 Vegetative designs  
present floral materials as they naturally grow. That is all flowers, foliage and branches are arranged to resemble growing plants mimicking the natural growth habits of each material. Often arranged in groupings.

Corsage

Many lightweight flowers and fillers can be glued into the corsages and boutonnieres rather than wired and taped. Typically either floral adhesive or glue is used for this purpose.

If you like purple than 

this is the flower for you.

Lavender, purple with a slight light blue.

 

Sympathy

 I'm sorry to say this is something you would put on top of a casket during a  funeral event.. Hince the word "sympathy.The arrangement is called a "scarf" sympathy arrangement.

Alstroemeria, Leather leaf, Ti leaves and lots of glue. Believe it or not it is held together by glue and it is placed on a rubbery mat. So that when it is placed on top of a casket it doesn't slip off.

I cant take credit for this whole arrangement. This was a team effort that was done in about a half an hour ... (thats all we had left of our class). Talk about little worker bees. Gosh, it was kind of funny.  No one had to say "can  you".. We all just did...

Waterfall

They call this the Waterfall. Its suppose to represent an image of a waterfall. I know sounds kinda corny.At first I just didn't get it. Sometimes these "arrangements" have been known to topple over because they have a lot of weight on one side. It kinda reminds me of hair styled to the right. FUNNY. I find this to be kinda of messy. But once again the more I look at it the more I like and appreciate it.

Up close and personal. Pretty little white flowers. There are carnations back there you know.

For some reason I thought hmmmm Let me move this to the bathroom. I am hoping that no one misses the handle and pulls down the flowers.  Even though this is a pretty one. I was having a hard time finding a home for it. Especially living with 3 cats!

Colors, Colors, Colors

"L shape".. I like this one I just love the vibrant purple with the nice white creamy carns.You could use this to frame a picture in an event of sorts.

Carnations .. For some reason I just love the deep red with the nice light white. I just wished the photos I took could have done more justice. REALLY NOW.. This was one of my favorite. I know I say this to every arrangement.

PAVE... This is suppose to resemble a mosaic of some sorts. Its suppose to be very close to the surface,small and tight. I did enjoy doing this. I guess because I had the freedom to put color together.. ( anyway I wanted to)

 Round Round Round. At first I thought how boring can this be. really...Now that  I look back at it I see that I really like it. Its cute, simple and fun. Nice to just put on your kitchen table.

 Can we say Spring time? Yes! Carns and tulips.. At first I didn't like this arrangement because I thought it was too scarce. Then All the flowers started to open up and WOW.

Tea Leaf, sunflowers and small daisys. OH MY... cute fun and Summertime. Im not usually a sunflower girl But I like how they are the Focal part of the arrangement

 This would be labeled "sympathy" but you know this would be a wonderful arrangement for the love of your life. Wouldnt you say?

Holdays

I really like this one. I think its on the mark when it comes to the feel of fall.

 Your Thanksgiving Turkey. 

Bird of Paradise, carns. This was fun to make. And it lasted nearly 2 weeks.















"Christmas tree" 

This was hard to do simplybecause it was top heavy. I would pick a wider bottom next time.I placed in the bathroom. It was very fragrant and just lovely for the holidays. Lasted well into the new year

Landscape

 This was suppose to be a landscape. You have to feel like  you are walking in a forest or a meadow. Im not so sure I get that feeling when I look at this arrangement. But I certainly like the colors

 I think this is either a gladiola or a snapdragon

 This is a very large and vibrant arrangement.

 The space between the back flowers and the front might be a little too much.

  re-arranged it after over week. I actually think it started to look more like a landscape.

Falling in Love with CARNS

 Here is a design that we were told to decorate OASIS. (for those who don't know ... Oasis is the green spongy thing that you poke the flower stems and other material in to hold it in place.) This is is another one of my favorites simply because there was freedom! It was like GO have fun just cover.

 AHHH   my favorite side.I actually cut the steps off the carnations and pinned them to the OASIS and then wrapped ribbon around them

 On coffee table I love this view. In fact this piece has different designs on every side.

It would almost appear that this is a whole new Design.

Abstract Floral Design

Horsetail, Curly Willow, Gerbera Daisy, and Natural stone

 Here we have my latest creation. Its my own personal abstract Floral Design, I would have to say this was so far my favorite thing to do. I think its because it gave so much freedom and imagination. One thing I did noticed was that It had an Asian feel to it. which I thought was interesting.

 I wish you could see how vibrant the Gerbera Daisys are I used my phone camera. Need a better set up hugh?

And finally here we have a cool little picture of where I decided to place the arrangement. It is sitting really close to the door in the living room  where you can go in and out and see a little something special. It is also in an area where you can sit down and see it. As you talk with friends or watch TV
